It took most of us months to learn how to walk, but once we did, our first baby steps were joyous, wobbly and unstoppable – that is until we discovered how to lift ourselves in elevators, merge ourselves into traffic and push our way into the closest parking spot to the entrance. Walking was too darn slow and it took too much effort. Getting there fast, first and easiest seemed more important than the joyous, wobbly, unstoppable energy that comes from putting one foot in front of the other.
