There are certainly some nice advantages to living without owing anything on credit cards or car loans.
Growing up, I thought borrowing money to buy things was just what adults did. It never even occurred to me that it was possible to pay cash for everything.
However, a few years ago, my wife decided we should become debt free. Since then, we’ve paid off all that we owed with the exception of our mortgage.
