I want to set the record straight right now. Just because I constantly write about workers’ rights and about creating a more flexible workplace for working parents and employees who have family obligations, like caring for a sick relative or friend, doesn’t mean I advocate for people dropping the ball at work.
A kid with the stomach flu can take the life out of a parent, but that doesn’t mean you can shirk your responsibilities on the job. The work still has to get done folks.
